We are striving to provide a number of patients with the latest advanced medical technology, as a specific functional hospital. These days, medical science and medical treatment have been making rapid progress. In addition, our surroundings, including a dramatically declining birth rate and an aging society and a sudden rise in medical expenses, are changing at a dizzying pace. We are trying to improve the quality of medicine, while emphasizing the training for surgeons and the development of medical technology, in order to stay in step with such rapid changes in the field of medicine with the goal of establishing a system of patient-friendly medicine.
The Division for Clinical Application actively introduces such state of the art medical technologies as endoscopic surgery and robotic surgery which have been designed to safely and reliably perform minimally invasive surgeries.
The Division for Research and Development conducts next-generation technological development, including image-guided surgery similar to car navigation, capsule endoscopic surgery and nano-technology robot surgery, in an interdisciplinary manner with close cooperation between our university and industry.
The Division for Education and Training has a training center that provides surgeons and students both from Japan and overseas with the best education and the training available to allow them to acquire the necessary advanced medical technologies that are needed to improve the medical level in the Asia region.
